What to Do If Someone Becomes Unconscious?

I was recently in a situation where someone suddenly collapsed and appeared to lose consciousness. I felt frightened and wasn't sure how to react or what I should do first. Fortunately, other people were nearby, but the experience made me realize I wouldn't know how to handle this on my own. What should I do if someone becomes unconscious?
